AI visibility

Does ChatGPT know you exist?

Ask an assistant for a tradesperson in your town and it names two or three. Being one of them is a completely different thing from ranking on Google.

Planned

None of this runs yet. The data model is there, but no answer engine is being queried and there is no AI score in the product. This is what we're building, not what you can use.

What it covers

None of this is running yet.

Every card carries its real build state. We don't describe something as working until it is.

The questions that matter

Planned

A tracked set of real buying questions — best plumber in Norwich, alternatives to a rival — checked on a schedule.

Are you named?

Planned

Whether you're mentioned, whether a page of yours is quoted, and which one — per question, per assistant.

Who's named instead

Planned

Your competitors' share of the answers. A mention count without a denominator means nothing.

Where they get it from

Planned

The sites assistants actually lean on for your trade. Often trade press and forums, not vendors.

A single score

Planned

Deliberately not shipped until the method behind it is stable and explainable. A score you can't question is decoration.

The work that follows

Planned

Clearer claims, better structure, filled gaps — through the same approve-and-check loop as everything else.

How we think about it

1

One job, not two products

What gets you named is mostly what gets you ranked. Selling AI visibility separately would be a pricing decision dressed up as a technical one.

2

Measure before advising

There's an enormous amount of AI-visibility advice being sold with no measurement attached. Baseline first.

3

Be unmistakable

Assistants reason about things — a company, a place, a service. Being crystal clear about what you are matters more here than keywords ever did.

4

No markup tricks

There's no snippet of code that makes an assistant quote you. Anyone selling one is guessing.

Limits

What we won't do.

  • Nobody can guarantee a mention in ChatGPT. Anyone promising one is selling something they can't deliver.
  • Answers shift between sessions and regions, so a single check is close to noise. It has to be tracked over time.
  • Where an assistant offers no legitimate way to check, we'll list it as unsupported rather than quietly guess.

Questions

Is this actually different from normal SEO?
The measurement genuinely is — being quoted in an answer isn't the same event as ranking, and you can't infer one from the other. The fixing work overlaps heavily.
Can you get me into ChatGPT's answers?
No one can promise that. What's realistic is knowing whether you're named today, seeing who is instead, and doing the underlying work properly.
Why no score yet?
Because a number you can't interrogate is worse than no number, especially if you'd spend money based on it.
